Meet Tex
THIS IS A COURTESY POST! Tex was a shelter dog but is with a rescue Be Their Voice and in foster with a shelter volunteer. For more information call foster Dad at 917-862-3517.
Tex is an incredibly laid-back and relaxed canine companion. He is happy to reside with a “stay at home” type of person or an active person as long as he is included in the daily life of his human pal.
Despite being discovered tied to a fire hydrant, he doesn't let his past affect his easy-going nature. He has the most adorable ears and a handsome brindle coat.
Tex gets along well with cats and is currently residing in a foster home alongside an adult resident cat. A home with another resident cat may need a slow introduction and time to adjust as with cats, we all know they are their own unique individuals!
Tex excels in leash walking, is crate trained, and kid-friendly. We always recommend proper supervision with kids and a new dog in a home to teach proper manners and interaction. It’s a new environment for the dog, and kids need to understand space and the time needed to acclimate.
Tex knows basic commands like stay & sit but is willing to learn more cool commands with his new owners. He loves treats and take treats gently.
Tex is happy in his foster setting but wants to find a home to really call his own so he can settle in and not worry about having to be moved around again.
Please contact the foster Dad at the number listed in the beginning of the post to meet Tex.
