Tessa's Story

Tessa is one of this year‘s crop of pounds that were probably dumped toward the end of hunting season. She was emaciated when she was first picked up as a stray and brought to the shelter. As you see, she has blossomed and filled out nicely. She has been spayed and has had her rabies and distemper shots. Tessa is heartworm positive and is currently taking doxycycline for pre-heartworm treatment. We will have her treated at no cost to any Adopter. As mentioned in the video, she is OK with other dogs, but can be a little bit testy with them if they get into her space. She would probably do fine with a canine companion in a home, but she’s not crazy about being part of a pack. if you were interested in Tessa, please email strotherb@yahoo.com<br/>She is going to make a nice, clean, mellow companion, for a quiet household. We think Tessa might not be the best fit with young children. Sweet girl!
