Boy are we glad we saved Teesha! She is a jewel! We have no idea why or how Teesha ended up at a high kill shelter in Middle TN as she certainly does not deserve that fate! The shelter workers called our rescue and asked us to come get her as she was too shy for the adoption floor. Teesha is a very low key, mild lab and would be perfect for anyone who loves the breed but not the energy that typically accompanies the breed. She is the quietest dog we have had in our rescue program in 11 years! She doesn't make a peep when crated, doesn't chew, walks well on a leash, and gets along with her fosters' two grumpy senior dogs. And if that isn't good enough, she is completely housetrained. If you are looking for a low key lab then she is your gal! Teesha responds to corrections and learns routines lightning fast. She tends to pick her person to love and is completely devoted to her. You wouldn't believe how she springs to life if you have a treat! She will sit, shake, and go down. Our impression of Teesha is that she is a very refined dog that once was someone's family member. We can not imagine WHY she would ever be at a high kill shelter. She would make a good condo dog as well as she is well-mannered and quiet. She is being fostered in Middle TN where she was rescued but we do direct adoptions to the Northeast area. Additionally, we provide lots of opportunities to chat with the foster family and can send videos. She is approximately four years old. We love Teesha as she fits into her low key foster household. And did we mention she is BEAUTIFUL? She is currently being fostered in a home that has two large breed dogs and has been around small breed dogs as well.
