Teeny's Story
You all know her as Teeny but we know her as Weeny, our grumpy little princess. She has been with us since July 31, 2021 after being thrown from a car and suffered a broken pelvis. She was found the next morning suffering and soaking wet from the rain.

After she was found, we rushed her to the animal hospital. Besides the broken pelvis, she was nearly bald from fleas and was so emaciated you could see every bone in her body.

She had surgery to insert metal pins to repair her broken pelvis. After recovering from surgery she became very ill and needed to see a specialist. It was thought she had liver cancer. After several visits to the specialist and lots of antibiotics, she was diagnosed with a liver infection. We were so happy to hear it wasn’t cancer!

Just when we thought she was ready to find her forever family, she came down with a skin infection from allergies. She has been off and on antibiotics for weeks but is doing better. Teeny now receives Cytopoint injections to help relieve the itching and we recently changed her food.

Teeny is a tiny 6-8 year old Chihuahua and weighs 5-6lbs. She spends most days in her crate snuggled under her blankie or snuggled on the couch next to her foster mom. She is a typical Chihuahua with a mighty personality and attitude. She is very loving but can also be very grumpy. It would be best for her to have a home with no small children. Teeny is dog friendly but does not like cats. She is mostly house trained and crate trained. Teeny’s ideal forever home would be a calm and quiet environment with a retired family or someone not gone for long periods of time. She will likely need to continue Cytopoint injections to help with allergies.

Teeny’s adoption fee is $300. This includes vaccinations, spay, Microchip, heartworm test, Cytopoint point injection (for allergies), wormer and maintaining heartworm prevention while in our care.

If you would like to be considered for a meeting and potential adoption, please submit an adoption application by copy/pasting the link below into your browser.

https://form.jotformpro.com/50153632350949
