Teddy's Story

Meet Teddy, an 8-year-old Miniature Poodle/Maltese who is the ultimate little lap dog and cuddle bug. This sweet senior loves being held, sleeping next to his person, and getting his favorite soft treats after potty breaks and at midday. He thrives on a schedule, has minimal exercise needs, and does great on car rides-usually snoozing the whole time. Teddy would do best as an only dog in a quiet, adult-only female home since he prefers not to share his person. He can be shy with strangers at first but bonds deeply and becomes incredibly devoted. If you're a retired or work-from-home woman looking for a loyal, snuggly best friend, Teddy is ready to be your constant companion.

Potty-Trained: wears belly bands, and does well on a schedule
Behavior towards adults: needs proper introduction, prefers females
Behavior towards children: not recommended
Behavior towards other dogs: prefers to be only dog
Behavior towards cats: ok, prefers being only pet
Crate-trained: yes
Stairs: does well with the few in foster home
Medical Concerns & Medication: none

As a rescue organization, we provide all medical care, procedures, and testing that are available to us while the dog is in our care. Adopters are responsible for ongoing preventatives, follow-up veterinary appointments, and any medications as needed after adoption. In some cases, adopters may also be responsible for procedures not completed while in rescue, such as dental cleanings, additional bloodwork, or other recommended care.

Please note that we work with volunteer veterinarians and partner veterinary clinics, and protocols may vary between veterinary offices.

All adopted dogs will receive their rabies and distemper vaccinations prior to adoption.

We offer a $50 adoption fee discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help offset the cost of veterinary exams, vaccinations (rabies and distemper), heartworm testing, spay/neuter surgery (if needed), and any additional medical care specific to each individual dog.

At this time, Grey Face Rescue is unable to adopt outside of Minnesota. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We do not place animals in homes where current pets are not up to date on vaccinations or are not spayed/neutered. Exceptions may be considered for documented medical reasons as provided by a licensed veterinarian. Thank you for supporting our mission to reduce pet overpopulation.

Once your application has been submitted, our Adoption Manager will be in touch. Please be sure to check your spam or junk folder if you do not hear from us within 7-10 days.

Thank you for your interest in adopting a Grey Face senior. We truly appreciate your support.
