Teddy's Story

Meet Teddy! This sweet pup was found wandering the streets of Fresno, California in October of 2025, after searching for his family for two months Teddy was then brought to us in Oregon and has been in foster care since early December. Teddy weighs about 65lbs and is about 4 years old, he is very friendly and is currently in Portland waiting for his perfect furever family.
Teddy loves meeting new dog friends, and has yet to meet a pup he doesn't get along with big or small. This sweet boy adjusts his play style according to his playmate, in his current foster home he plays with puppies and elderly small dogs. Teddy has not been tested around cats, however he is very gentle and we think he would be good candidate for a home with a cat too. This sweet boy has spent time around children, and a day of being shy and avoidant he warms up and is very comfortable and respectful.
Teddy loves to talk, and we do not think he would do well in an apartment due to his need to voice his opinion to his hooman and dog friends. This sweet boy loves to play fetch, and is slowly learning tricks like sit and stay. Teddy loves to play with his squeaky toys and is very curious about exploring his new spaces- he loves to let his nose lead the way. This sweet boy would make the perfect companion for anyone who is looking for a walking or hiking buddy as he LOVES to be outside rain or shine. Teddy really is the sweetest boy who just takes a few days to warm up to his new people, he can be a little avoidant shy when he first meets someone, but after a few positive interactions and walks together Teddy will be your new best friend for life. If you are interested in bringing this playful and curious boy into your home or meeting him we encourage you to apply today!

All of Saving Baja Paws dogs come with a fantastic foster-to-adopt option. This unique opportunity allows you to ensure that the match between you and the dog is perfect. Whether you're considering fostering or adopting, we'd love to hear from you.
Teddy's adoption fee for Oregon, Washington, or California is $250USD.This helps us cover most of his vet and care costs and travel costs.
All our pups come fully up to date on shots, are tested for heartworm and other diseases, microchipped, fecal tested, current on flea medications, and also come spayed / neutered.
Please Apply >> savingbajapaws.org/application
