Teddy's Story

Teddy

This handsome man started out rough. So malnourished his legs were completely unable to support him. Loaded with worms, living on the streets, dumped by people who just gave up on him.

We’re so glad he made his way to us. Teddy, named for having a sweet/snuggly teddy bear personality, has been such a joy to all of us who have been around him. Defeating the odds, healing, learning with such enthusiasm and taking on life with that same enthusiasm. To the people who gave up on him, we want you to know you missed out on a wonderful guy. Teddy wants you to know, he forgives you. In that “we don’t deserve dogs” fashion, we have no doubt this forgiving, happy, sweet guy would even welcome those who abandoned him with open arms, he’s just that great.

Teddy has graduated beyond his leg splits as we can confidently say he is finally able to support himself. He loves going for walks, loves to wrestle and play, and is going to make one family super lucky some day! He is a sucker for a game of tug, and any squeaky toy is his favorite squeaky toy.

Teddy sleeps through the night, is working hard on potty training, and knows his basic commands.

He is looking for a home where he gets to be an active family member. Headed to dinner? Choose a pet friendly place and take him with! Want to go camping? He’s in! Fence work? He’ll follow the tractor! Lazy Sunday on the couch? Let’s snuggle!

Teddys happy place is with the people he loves. He is wonderful with dogs, and while is still working on mouthiness, would be great with older or dog savvy kids who can help redirect him with a toy. He is good with cats, and even met a goat over the weekend!

Teddy is about 3 months old, and expected to be in the 55 pound range when full grown. He is absolutely STUNNING! We guess him as a Pittie Mix, although his DNA remains a mystery.

Someone swoop this baby up and give him the life he’s always deserved

Adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BSD/Dog

Bruno's Foundation's Adoption Policy
We are a foster based facility, meaning all of our animals are in homes, not a shelter environment. This allows us to get to know them better, and provide on one training for each animal. In order to limit the amount of people going in and out of our foster homes, we do require a filled out application prior to a meet and greet. We are a 501c3 non profit. All adoption donations are tax deductible! Please click the link on this page to fill out an application for adoption. Allow 48 hours for a reply, we only have one person who reviews applications so please be patient. A phone call will be scheduled should your application fit the needs of the pet you’re applying for. During this time, we will set up a meet and greet, then a home check (virtual or in person). We DO allow out of state adoptions however you will be required to travel to pick up, and this will depend on how the pet you’re applying for does with travel. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed prior to adoption.
