Teddy's Story

Teddy is a true survivor! After a traumatic accident left his organs displaced, this little guy underwent a major surgery and is now on the road to a full recovery. After being hit by a car and not treated for weeks; His liver, spleen, intestines, and part of his stomach had all moved into his chest cavity due to a torn diaphragm, but thanks to some life-saving surgery (costing over $7,600!), Teddy’s organs are back where they belong.

Teddy's foster wrote that he is a firecracker! He appears to be part chihuahua and part cattle dog so he can be bossy, needy, adorable, and a bit ocd all at once! Once he warms to you he will be your shadow and follow you everywhere. He does good with other dogs and with cats too but he wants to be the center of attention in most things. He does well with his kennel, and does reasonably well on a leash but it’s definitely a new thing for him. He’s a cuddler and affectionate, and listens to direction reasonably well.

To foster or adopt (or foster-to-adopt), please email [herdinghomerescue@gmail.com](mailto:herdinghomerescue@gmail.com) with the subject such as "[Your Last Name] foster/adopt Teddy". Fosters get first right to adopt.
