Ted's Story

Cat Friendly

Sweet Ted is a little unsure of this big ol' world. But can you really blame him? At 1 year old, he's just now experiencing all that life has to offer. He's a 30-pound, mixed-breed boy, and he's sweet as pie.

You see, Ted was part of that very public case where many dogs were seriously neglected. But he's quickly learning that being a dog is pretty awesome! He needs your assurance to keep expanding his horizons!

Ted is VERY sweet, friendly, and loves to follow you around the house. His favorite days include playing with his K9 brother, zooming around the backyard together, then lounging with his humans.

For getting a late start in life, Ted has learned a lot! He already knows how to sit, lie down, and is kennel-trained (he also sleeps peacefully in it at night with no issues). And, in addition to loving other dogs, he's a friend to the felines as well!

Because Ted is catching up on all the time missed as a puppy, he's still got some things to learn, which he's excited to experience with YOU! He's eager to learn about walking on a leash so you can take walks together. He isn't so sure about toys, so you'll have the opportunity to try them all out and see which ones he might like. He's doing really well at potty training and will avoid accidents if he goes out regularly.

Because Ted can still be nervous in new settings and with new people, small, unpredictable kiddos might scare him. However, older ones who understand he might need space at first would be ok. A confident K9 sibling would also help Ted feel more at ease.

Regardless of who's in Ted's furever home, he just needs someone full of love and patience, willing to keep socializing him, and committed to helping him see that the world isn't so scary because he wants to be the BEST DOG for you!

Ted's adoption fee is $175 and includes his neutering, vaccinations, microchip, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Approved adopters will be contacted to schedule a meet-and-greet.

Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org
