Tazz's Story

Meet Tazz!
He's a one and a half year old pitbull mix (DNA test pending!) who loves to run and play. He's an energetic guy who is always up for an adventure but he also knows how to shut it off and relax. The best of both worlds!

He is fully trained with basic obedience commands, advanced obedience, nail trims, loose leash walking, non reactive, very social with other dogs including puppies, crate trained, potty trained (but this will always need a refresher whenever a dog goes to a new home), and he is fully e-collar off leash trained.
Tazz was transferred over to our trainer from the Yakima Humane Society and he has gone through an entire board and train program so not only is he adorable, he's fully trained!

Tazz loves the play fetch but we recommend limited fetch, and more tug or long walks. He loves other dogs and can adjust his play style with each dog he meets but we never recommend dog parks or greeting strange dogs.
Tazz is shy at first with new people but he warms up pretty quick with treats and toys! If he does not know you he's neutral and will just stay away, but with encouragement and snacks he warms up really fast and once you are his friend you are a friend for life.

He is the most loyal dog! He loves his people and will never leave his people, combine that with his off leash training and Tazz would make the BEST hiking and camping partner! Tazz is honestly the type of dog that you can take anywhere.
Tazz's adoption fee is $500 to cover part of the cost of his board and train program.

Tazz is fostered in Lynden WA. Misunderstood Mutts Rescue's Adoption Policy
If you see a dog listed, it means they are still available for adoption! Filling out an application is the first step in the adoption process. From that we set up a meet & greet, check references and determine if it’s a right fit. You are not required to adopt the dog once your application is submitted, and submitting an application does not guarantee you will be able to adopt the dog you're applying for. If you've previously submitted an adoption application, it's not necessary to submit a new one! Please contact us directly with your name, the name of the dog you're interested in adopting, and a quick reminder that you've already filled out an application. Our adoption fee ranges from $150 to $495, which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, and a behavioral assessment. A representative from MMR will be with you every step of the way to ensure the best transition possible for both the dogs and for you! **At this time we only adopt out in Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia homes**
