Taz's Story

Taz was pulled from the shelter and is now safe in rescue. He is 6 years old. We've managed to gather some history on this poor boy. His owner was sent to prison and Taz was taken in by the man's mother. After awhile she decided she no longer wanted him, so a kind neighbor offered to foster Taz until his owner got out of jail. After 11 months and several trips to the shelter for running loose (the foster had no fence) Taz was returned to the mother who apparently just allowed Taz to be picked up once again and left to be euthanized. He is such a nice boy that we just couldn't let that happen.

Taz seems to adjust well to new situations and is a carefree, friendly, very handsome guy. He is a bit underweight and his hair coat indicates he hasn't had the best nutrition in the past. The good news is that he's heartworm negative, has all his vaccinations, been microchipped, neutered, a dental cleaning and had a benign cyst removed from his neck. He was an absolute gentleman at the vets and shows no aggression towards other dogs with limited exposure. Cats are an unknown. Taz knows basic commands and is a pretty laid back fella. The foster he lived with said he was housebroken and good with their children. With his gentle demeanor he is probably fine with anyone.

Taz will be availabe once his sutures are removed (after Sept. 13). He is a wonderful dog that still has many years of love left to offer. An adoption application, home visit & adoption fee of $200.00 applies.
