Tarzan & Jane (Bonded Pair)'s Story

We can think of no better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day at Tails Up Paws Down Rescue than to take a bonded pair of dogs into rescue.
So, let’s introduce: Tarzan & Jane. We saw these lovebirds online a few weeks ago at a local shelter. Our initial thoughts were, “OMG! They are ADORABLE! No doubt someone will adopt them once they’re stray time is up.”

THREE WEEKS LATER, (after inquiring about another dog) who was reclaimed, we were asked if we could take these lovebirds.
We couldn’t believe they hadn’t been adopted already, and we immediately said, “YES!”

Why are they available?
These little nuggets are a bonded pair. They love and neat each other and will only be adopted together. During their time at the shelter, most adopters only wanted Jane because she is small and cute and fluffy as most long-haired chihuahuas tend to be. She is all those things.
While we have found both dogs to be sweet, Tarzan has the most amazing personality! And he’s not hard on the eyes either. To anyone who only applied for Jane, you missed the boat on this one.

These pups are 2-4 years old and do well with other dogs their own size. They are up to date on vaccinations, HW & F/T preventatives, spayed/neutered. Tarzan & Jane are mostly house trained and will go outside but also use puppy pads as needed.

**WHEN WILL THEY BE AVAILABLE**
They both require dentals, which were scheduled (and then canceled because of the blizzard). We are rescheduling.

THEY WILL ONLY BE ADOPTED TOGETHER, & BONDED PAIR ADOPTION FEE WILL APPLY.

This duo is currently being fostered in South Jersey.

Our adoption process ensures every dog finds a safe, committed home.

If approved, the applicant must be willing to travel to Cumberland County, New Jersey to meet the dog. All family members and resident pets must be present for the meet and greet.

Applications are ONLY accepted via our website www.tailsuppawsdownrescue.org.
Do not submit an application via Petfinder's link.
