Tara's Story

~ FROM TRASH TO JOURNEY TO LOVE
When Carmen went to a nursery in the Fluvial area of Puerto Vallarta, she noticed two tiny puppies in very poor condition. A worker explained that their stray mother had given birth to six puppies there; two had died, she had taken two, and the remaining two were left behind. Only two months old and severely malnourished, they were being given water by a kind gardener who had asked for help. When Carmen and Claudia saw them, they knew they couldn’t leave them there. The nursery manager agreed to surrender the puppies, and they were rushed to the vet. Tests were done which fortunately came back negative for life threatening illnesses so after prescribing medication for internal and external parasites as well as skin moisturizer their health protocol started. Tara is one of the two puppies.

Tara is about 7 months old, weighs around 17 kilos, and is a mix breed beauty.

Tara is a social butterfly with a heart full of love. She adores people of all ages; adults, kids, everyone is a friend in her eyes. She happily plays with the other dogs at the shelter and even gets along wonderfully with cats. She is always the first to greet visitors with a wagging tail and a bright, confident spirit. Loud noises like thunderstorms, fireworks, or busy traffic don’t faze her, she takes it all in stride. Tara has learned to walk beautifully on a leash and absolutely loves her outings, especially when she gets to say hello to the neighborhood dogs. She’s not possessive of her food, toys, or favorite sleeping spot; she’s as easygoing as they come. Playful and full of joyful energy, Tara is the kind of puppy who will fill a home with laughter, love, and endless tail wags.

Tara’s adoption fee is $550, which includes her flight, spay, vaccinations, and full vetting.
