Tap Dance's Story
Meet Tap Dance, the smiling, gentle sweetheart who has truly blossomed in foster care! This boy has become an easy, affectionate companion. He’s non-destructive, sticks to his chew toys, and listens beautifully to household cues like "sit" and "crate." Tap Dance loves being included in your daily routines, following you curiously from room to room like a kid in a classroom. He may bark at delivery people, but with a simple cue he settles quickly. He enjoys peaceful evenings, belly rubs, and relaxing with his foster family.

Tap Dance has been making steady progress on leash. He’s becoming friendlier with passersby, and people often stop to say hello. He does still show some mild on-leash reactivity when other dogs get too close, but he is manageable with space and redirection, and he has permission to continue training to support his progress. In the yard, he loves chasing squirrels and playing zoomies with his foster sibling, Bjorn. Car rides remain stressful for him, and he may whine, especially at the start, but walking beforehand helps him settle a bit.

Tap Dance is looking for a calm, patient home where he can continue feeling safe and understood. A home without cats is recommended (but not required), and a quieter environment will help him stay confident. He has done well with familiar adults and older kids, enjoys peaceful routines, and loves a cozy, predictable home life. With his loyal heart, adorable smile, and gentle nature, Tap Dance is ready to be someone’s best friend — he just needs the right person to help him keep growing.

All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!

To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm. If listed as foster, email foster@cincycare.org to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home?
