Tanker's Story

HUGE and GORGEOUS!!! And SWEET SWEET SWEET!!! What a temperament! He was a happy inside house dog for the first few years of his life. Got along great with everyone! Tenderly affectionate towards Down Syndrome member of family as well! Thought he was a lap dog and slept in the beds and couches! The ONLY problem is this: the husband of the family was big and strong and very capable of taking care of Tanker. But his wife did not have the strength needed to walk Tanker. One day she was taking Tanker down the steps of their home, and Tanker saw his "pal", the neighbor's dog. Tanker, not realizing his strength, began leaping down the stairs to go and play with his friend. But he unfortunately yanked the wife down the steps with him, breaking her arm and collarbone in the process. Because the husband was not able to be around as he had previously been due to his job, the wife was not able to take care of Tanker by herself. The whole family wept and cried when they had to surrender big sweet Tanker, who still has no idea why he lost his loving home. THIS BOY IS MEGA SWEET AND A BIG WINNER! But you MUST have the STRENGTH, the KNOW-HOW to be able to walk such a big boy, and you need a BIG BIG YARD for him to play to his heart's content! He is so sweet and friendly and HURT INSIDE HIS HEART! He has a clingy bad habit right now of jumping up to hug you, and we are trying to teach him to stop doing this, but at the same time, it is his only way of expressing affection when he has lost the whole family he loved. So WE NEED BIG, STRONG, ANIMAL LOVERS WHO HAVE A HUGE FENCED-IN YARD AND NO STAIRS!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T LET THIS STUNNING AND SWEET SOUL PASS HIS LIFE BY IN A KENNEL! HE DESERVES SO MUCH MORE!!!!
