Tanker is a toy enthusiast, specializing in squeakers, stuffies, and anything that bounces. He approaches playtime with the energy of a toddler who just learned what sugar is. He’s also friendly with other dogs, making him the perfect buddy for playdates or a built-in companion for your current pup. He believes in sharing toys… unless it’s the really good one, and then he may politely recommend joint custody. Tanker is fun, sweet, and ready to fill your life with laughter, love, and a little chaos in the best way possible. Come meet him—Tanker is ready to roll into your heart! If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.

Oceana County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

ADOPTION FEES DOGS/puppies: $95.00 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and for $10 towards rabies vaccine. CATS/kittens: $35.00 and you receive certificates for $25 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine. The law requires that all dogs and cats adopted from a shelter in Michigan be spayed or neutered. We are located on Baseline Road, between Hart and Shelby, about one mile east of Oceana Drive, on the south side of the road by the airport. We are open Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to noon, except holidays. We are happy to schedule appointments at other times to see the animals we have available. If we are not available when you call, please leave a brief message with your name and number and we will be happy to return your call.
