Tank (OT24-131)'s Story

Meet Tank

Tank is a 25-pound, 6-year-old Poodle with a gentle soul who is still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. He's taking his time adjusting to his new surroundings and is looking for a patient, understanding family to help him continue building confidence at his own pace.

Tank does well with other dogs, especially in a calm, low-key environment. In fact, he may truly thrive with a confident, friendly dog in the home to show him the ropes and help him feel more secure. He takes comfort in canine companionship and blossoms when he doesn't feel alone.

Right now, Tank isn't comfortable walking on a leash, so he will need a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore and enjoy the outdoors. With time, patience, and positive reinforcement, he may continue to make progress - but his future family should be prepared to meet him where he is.

Tank is looking for a quieter home that will give him the space, stability, and kindness he deserves. In return, you'll get a loyal companion who just needs a little extra love to truly shine. If you have a calm home, a fenced yard, and room in your heart for a sweet dog finding his confidence, Tank may be the perfect fit.
------
Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
