Tank's Story
Meet Tank!

Tank is a BIG boy (80 pounds) with BIG bark and an even BIGGER heart. This hunky boy could easily be misunderstood, but he’s a gentle love bug who was a perfect gentleman during his bath and his vaccinations. He didn’t have the best start in life before coming to us so he deserves all the love that this world can offer.

A volunteer recently gave Tank a day out of the shelter. This is what she had to share about him:

"Tank is 2 yrs old and recently neutered. Fantastic riding in truck. Didn't bother food when we got it. No accidents although he still hikes his leg. When you say have to potty he knows what that means. He will bark at you one time and then done. Within 1 hr he calmed down. By 3 he was laying on floor asleep. Big goof he fell off the couch. He does play with toys and loves bones. He was very gentle with everyone he met, including a ten year old boy. He does pull when walking but did get better the more time spent with him. He ate McDonald's out of my hand very nicely. Put food in bowl no problem at all didn't respond at all. He’s a big love bug. He doesn't realize his size. He does weigh 100 lbs."

Tank will need a perfect family. He needs a family that can accommodate his size. Apartment life most likely wouldn't work for him. He needs a home to match his size. He also needs someone who can handle his size. His personality is so easy going that it makes him much easier to place.”

Call 740-474-3741 to set up a time to meet your new best friend!

*We do not kid or cat test; that's why we won't check "yes" for those two questions on any of our dog's profiles. That does not mean we don't have dogs we believe would be kid or cat friendly! Your best bet is to call and ask our staff! Our only indicator of "dog friendliness" is how they react when walking by the kennels, so we always recommend a meet and greet*
