TANISHA ~ Hard of Hearing ~ Cell Dog Miniature Poodle Ashland, OH

Tanisha is a Hearing Impaired Miniature Poodle who is 2 years old, DOB 1/6/2022. She currently weighs 11.4 pounds. She is a little shy and nervous, but warms up quickly. She is not yet completely housebroken, but is crate trained and is good with children. She will need to get used to things she hasn't experienced like car rides and steps.

Tanisha was accepted by the Mansfield Correctional Dog Program is being crate trained and obedience trained.

Tanisha can hear high pitched and squeaky type noises. Do your research before considering adopting a special needs dog. Tanisha would benefit from a fenced yard, as she cannot hear traffic or danger well. She should not be off leash.

While no dog is truly hypoallergenic, the Miniature Poodle is a fantastic choice for owners with allergies, thanks to their infrequent shedding. They will still need to be taken regularly to a groomer. Tanisha had her face cleaned up while she was asleep for her spay. She was likely rubbing her nose on her cage and it was sore with missing hair. She's gonna be back to her beautiful self soon.

Tanisha came from a commercial breeder that was shut down. She is one of 56 dogs who needed placed elsewhere immediately. She was most likely used as a breeding female. That part of her life is over, we have spayed her and she is getting the love of 30 students at the Vet Science Program at our local vocational school.

We are an all volunteer-based organization that does not have a building or a staff, only 8 members with jobs and families, trying to make a difference. We do not have the volunteer manpower to show animals to non-approved applicants. If your application gets screened and approved, we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet and you can decide if this is the right pet for you.
