Meet Tammy

Hi, my name is TAMMY. I am a medium-size Hound and was born around 2002. If there were two words used to describe me, they would be "shy" and "sweet." I'm pretty shy until you get to know me. When you do though, I'm extremely sweet and will go out of my way to get petted and rubbed. The volunteers seem to think that I wasn't treated very well before I came to the sanctuary because of the way I sometimes cower when someone reaches for me. I am famous for my "army crawl". That is where I will get as low to the ground as possible and will shimmy along the ground towards you - sometimes we all need to take baby steps... I get along really well with other dogs and cats. I'm pretty submissive as you might have guessed. I enjoy baths and have gotten comfortable riding in cars. I would really prosper in a quiet home with someone who will have patience with me. You couldn't ask for a nicer and more reserved dog than me!
