Tammi's Story

Brains and Beauty in one extraordinary package. Tammi is one of those special "one in a lifetime dogs" for the right person. She loves to hang out with people, go for walks and car rides. Tammi likes to carry her toys around and show them off. She also keeps herself amused (and her foster parents) by playing with her soccer ball in the backyard. Tammi needs to be an only dog in her new home. When she is off leash, she thinks she needs to control other dogs and that leads to disagreements. She is amazing with people and does well with other dogs on leash. Tammi is always ready for a good belly rub. Tammi will do best with kind but firm leadership and children 10 years and up. No cats. She would make a great walking or jogging companion. She is so smart, she would excel at any type of dog sport. With proper training and leadership, she will make an excellent best friend

(A $300 adoption fee is required.) If you are interested in this dog, please go to the Adopt page of our website where you will find a link to an adoption application form https://www.chewdogrescue.org/index.php/adopt

If you have previously submitted an application form, there is no need to re-apply. Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations, before being placed in their forever homes.

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED! We are always looking for good foster homes. Our rescue is foster based and we can always save more dogs if we have foster homes for them to go into. It is not a long term commitment. We have been able to find good forever homes in a short time. We also welcome volunteers who can help transport dogs and help with our outreach and fund raising efforts. Please contact us if you can help.
