Talia's Story

✨Hi, I’m TALIA — equal parts cuddle bug and curious explorer. I'm 1 year old, fully grown at 45 lbs and sweet a can be! ✨

I’ve got a fun, lighthearted pawsonality without being over-the-top. I love to sniff everything on walks (why rush when there’s so much to investigate?), but once we’re home? I’m ready to curl up and be your favorite weighted blanket.

Here’s what you should know about me:
🐾 Medium energy — play a little, relax a lot
🐾 Very well behaved (I like to keep things easy)
🐾 Great with other dogs
🐾 Would thrive with a dog sibling or as your one-and-only
🐾 Good with kids 5+ (with kind, respectful manners)
🐾 Housetrained & Crate trained
🐾 Excellent in the car — road trip approved
🐾 Grooming appointment superstar ⭐

I’m still polishing up my commands, but with consistency and guidance, I’m going to shine. I’m eager, gentle, and just want to do the right thing. Watch my video that my Foster Dad took and you'll see how goofy & sweet I am!
If you’re looking for a sweet, steady girl with a little playful spark and a whole lot of love to give… I could be your girl!

Reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to get lots more info on Talia...she’s ready for her forever. 💕🐶

Long Road Home's Adoption Policy
Where do we get our dogs? Majority of our dogs come from high kill shelters. Some are owner surrender or strays. All of the dogs that come into our rescue have been in high emergency situations where they would not be wagging their tails. We work with a lot of shelters in the south as well as on long island. We have wonderful people who dedicate their time to the dogs and transport them into our long island foster homes. What happens to the dog after we accept it into the program? All of the dogs first go to see a vet. Once they receive a clean bill of health the go into a home. We normally give each dog at least a week in a home with qualified trainer before we place the dog into a foster. We really like to have the dogs house broken and to have at least started basic obedience training. After the trainer we place the dog into its new foster home until it finds its forever home.
