Tala's Story
Tala, a 5 month old Labrador mix came into rescue from animal services Manitoulin Island. She was in rough shape when she arrived, underweight and "wormy". Now that she has had proper vetting, medication and nutrition these issues are resolving and Tala is feeling bright eyed, bushy tailed, and ready for her next adventure. She is adjusting well to family life, and blossoming into a rambunctious, healthy puppy who is a complete social butterfly with people and other dogs. Living inside a house now, Tala is learning the ropes and excelling at it, being not just sweet and social, but quick to learn also. Housetraining is going really well and she is learning to ring a bell to go outside. She is getting used to going into a crate, and continued support with this will be required to help her feel safe and reduce some initial anxiety. Since everything about her environment is new, continued positive reinforcement and enrichment will help build the confidence she needs to excel at all things puppy and grow into the big girl she is sure to become! She is going to be a big girl with a big heart to match!
