He loves everyone he meets and good with dogs of all sizes. Taku has a rough start in life. However, it doesn’t stop him from loving and trusting humans. He is doing well in his foster home and ready for a forever home. Taku started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. He is crate-trained and doing well on his house training. Taku loves his trips to the doggie park and absolutely enjoys hiking in the woods. Taku is a wonderful dog and will make a good family dog.

Taku’s Rescue Story

Taku and Taki were abandoned on the streets. They must have been starving for quite some time. They wanted to please yet were so scared on the streets. A kind lady was traveling with her dog and saw them. She had some food and quickly shared some with them and they ate really fast. The kind lady’s dog is not good with other dogs and so she couldn’t take them in. She quickly contacted a rescue group. Within a few days, the rescue finally came to catch them. TNR rescue groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs. TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals. The volunteer caring for them loves them and didn’t want to see them back on the streets. The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets. The founder of the rescue organization has over 160 dogs waiting for homes. She really does not have space for another dog. However, she could not bear to see them suffering on the streets. She agreed to take them home and give them a chance in life.

Taku had a thorough medical checkup. He had been neutered, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on his blood tests. Please give Taku a loving home where he will never be left behind again.

Please watch Taku’s YouTube videos below:
https://youtu.be/k_GURr6cDMk - Taki & Taku eating
https://youtu.be/nuIfhcEniXY - Taku no food aggression
https://youtu.be/cb_ekmRsk5g - Taku in Public
https://youtu.be/lhTHCa1wLww - Taku walking
https://youtu.be/KPmFcI5C1vE - Taku good with people
https://youtu.be/Hdr7fnfBNLE - Taku good with people
https://youtu.be/fih5-D_N3uQ - Taku Vet Checkup
https://youtu.be/HP_Jk4pEhxg - The rescue of Taku & Taki

If you would like to give TAKU a forever home,
please go to www.adoptadoggie.org to fill out an online application.
Please email your home environment photos to contact@adoptadoggie.org
Once we approve your application, we will get back to you ASAP.

Adopt a Doggie Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Adopt-a-Doggie/312107112299799

Temperament:
Energy Level: Medium
Ideal home environment: Both Quiet & Active
Is the dog good with strangers: Friendly
The dog is best with children of what age group?
