Taki's Story

Meet Taki

This sweet boy was found with his brothers at a very young age. At just a few months old, he was battling mange, but he is now healthy, happy, and thriving in his foster home in San Diego!

At 6.5 months old, Taki is eagerly learning all about the big world around him. His confidence grows every day! While new spaces can feel a little intimidating at first, he quickly realizes they aren't as scary as they seem. He approaches new situations with a bit of cautious curiosity, but a few treats and pets are all it takes for him to realize new people and places are exciting and loving.

Taki Highlights

- Great with Everyone: Has successfully lived with kids, cats, and dogs! Can be shy at first and bark at strangers but that's just his cautious nature
- Balanced Personality: Playful and affectionate, but also independent enough to happily settle into his crate with a favorite toy.
- Travel Companion: Rides smoothly in the car and loves to be his human's shadow for cuddle sessions.
- Size & Breed: Expected to grow into a medium/large pup (no bigger than 50 lbs). His exact breed mix is a mystery, but a nearby dog resembled a Pitbull/Lab mix. Taki stands out with his unique, handsome dark snout!

Ideal Home
Taki would thrive with a family that has kids, a yard to explore, and ideally a confident older dog to help guide him. He's still perfecting his leash skills, but at his young age, he's a fast learner who will pick it up quickly with gentle guidance.

Are you ready to welcome Taki into your pack?
