Upon first contact, we weren't sure that he would even survive.<br/><br/>After evaluation at the local emergency clinic, we were shocked to learn that Taiga didn't even sustain a broken bone! No evidence of significant internal trauma was found. Sadly, his lower extremities were pretty beat up, including o front paw that had been partially degloved and wounded to the joint.<br/><br/>Since that time, Taiga has been slowly healing at a foster home, and some of his bandages have been removed. At this point, a full recovery is expected, although he needs a couple more weeks (at least) of bandage care.<br/><br/>The great news is that Taiga is very resilient and happy. He loves other dogs, but we don't recommend letting him chase wildlife (that's how he got in trouble in the first place). Taiga is about 7 months old not very large. He will soon be neutered. We expect him to be about 60-5 pounds when fully grown.<br/><br/>We know Taiga loves cuddles and loves to play.
