Tabitha's Story

Muncie Animal Care & Services has an amazing 2 yrs old, 47 lbs, spayed current on vaccines, heartworm negative, lab mix. Tabitha does incredibly well with small children and heals the whole time you’re walking her. She’s been into Walmart and tractor supply and done phenomenal. Tabitha sits while you’re waiting in lines and minds her business. She is 100% housebroken, good with cats and dogs. Tabitha is honestly the dream dog that most people come in looking for. She is currently in a foster home in order to free up space in the shelter. Please ask to set up an appointment to meet her.

Muncie Animal Care & Services's Adoption Policy

All MACS animals are spayed/neutered, heartworm/combo tested, given age appropriate vaccines, dewormed and given flea preventative prior to adoption. Adoption comes with a free wellness exam at a participating veterinarian. Potential adopters must provide a copy of their pet policy in their lease and submit an adoption application. Applications can be obtained in person during business hours. There is no online application. Please note, applications can take up to 3 business days to be reviewed. Applicants will be notified via email of approval or disapproval. Please check your email if you have submitted an application. Approved applicants that currently have a dog(s) in their home are required to schedule a meet-and-greet appointment to ensure the potential adoption will be a good fit. Regular adoption fees are: Dogs $100, Cats $65. MACS offers many adoption specials and events. Please call or visit our Facebook page for current specials! [MACS can only accept cash or check payment.] Adopters should plan to bring a leash and collar, or pet carrier. Due to unforeseen circumstances, at times we may have to limit or suspend adoption and/or volunteering services.
