Sylvie 's Story
Sylvie is a beautiful, petite, young blue heeler with a heart as strong as her spirit. This resilent girl had a ruff start in life, surviving on the streets and enduring a serious injury to her front leg that likely went untreated for months. As a result, she favors that leg and it has some muscle atrophy — but the good news is that our rescue veterinarian believes that with time, proper nutrition, and steady exercise, she has every chance of regaining full use of it. And if you know heelers, you know grit and determination is practically in their DNA. True to her breed, Sylvie is incredibly smart, deeply loyal, and forms a strong bonds with her people. She is the kind of dog that will stick by your side through thick and thin. She good other dogs, is playful and social, and has already shown a great ball drive — making her a wonderful candidate for dog sports or any activity that engages her mind and body. She’s ready to channel that working-dog energy into a life filled with purpose and fun. Because she is a cattle dog, Sylvie would do best in a home with kids over 8 years old and with a family who understands herding breeds. She’ll thrive with structure, activity, and someone who appreciates the intelligence and loyalty that make heelers so special.Sylvie has already survived so much. Now she’s just waiting for someone to show her what it feels like to be safe, loved, and home — forever. If you are interested in meeting Sylvie, please email kathie@herdinghaven.org
