When Sydney loves her person, she loves hard. This girl is a total lover: kisses, hugs, cuddles, and sticking close to her humans are her specialties. She’s affectionate, goofy, and full of personality, and once she bonds with you, you are absolutely her person. Sydney is a happy, adventurous girl who loves car rides, loads up like a pro, and is always ready for walks, outings, dog park trips, and adventures with her people. She does decent on leash and hardly pulls, enjoying being out and about and taking everything in. New places don’t slow her down — she takes a moment to look around and then jumps right into being her loving, curious self (often followed by adorable zoomies once she’s comfortable). Sydney has been around kids as young as 13 months old and did well, calmly sharing space and soaking up attention. She can get a little jumpy when asking for affection because she’s excited and loves being close, so we recommend families who are comfortable with an affectionate, enthusiastic dog and can help guide gentle greetings. Overall, she has all the makings of a fantastic family dog. Sydney is dog-friendly and loves having canine companions, especially once she’s had a chance to get acquainted on her own terms. She does best with a medium-energy male dog who respects her space at first, and once friendships are formed, she’s all in. She currently lives with dogs of all sizes, including a Great Dane, and they enjoy chase games and lazy wrestling. She communicates clearly, offers appropriate corrections if needed, and keeps things polite. Cats? Yes! Sydney lives with a cat and has done well. She can get a little playful but means well and is easily redirected with toys or verbal cues. Calm or avoidant cats are ideal, and she would love a doggy friend so the kitty doesn’t have to be her playmate! Sydney is a toy enthusiast in the best way. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a foster-based, all-breed dog and cat rescue dedicated to saving animals from urgent and often life-threatening situations in the Greater Houston area. Houston faces one of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the United States, and countless animals are at risk every day. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome these animals while promoting spay/neuter outreach and responsible pet ownership. All of our animals originate from around Houston, Texas, where the need is greatest. We facilitate adoptions nationwide, with the majority of our pets placed in loving homes throughout the Pacific Northwest, Northeast, Midwest, and select Canadian regions. USDA-Certified Transport & Nationwide Adoptions We operate our own USDA-certified rescue transport system, ensuring every animal travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 on-board care. At our 2-acre Texas-based property, dogs are assessed by trainers on staff, receive behavior modification when needed, and are supported with individualized behavior plans. This may include: Crate training Potty training Leash skills Confidence-building Group training and structured socialization play groups Our goal is thoughtful, long-term matches—not quick placements. We take pride in our matchmaking process, which helps ensure lasting success for both dogs and families. All cats receive: FVRCP vaccines (minimum of 2 but could be more depending on age and time in the program), FeLV vaccines, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, combo tested, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our vet partners. a microchip with lifetime registration, and a health certificate.
