Sweet Tea's Story

Meet Sweet Tea!

This good-hearted hound mix is eight years old and all 52 pounds of her are looking forward to spending her golden years with you!

Sadly, Sweet Tea came to GLDR after her owner passed away. She ended up at animal control after losing the only family she ever knew. A stressful kennel environment is the last place this senior deserves to be so let's make sure she finds a fabulous home ASAP!

Sweet Tea went on an outing with one of our volunteers and enjoyed every moment. They went for a leisurely one-mile walk on the trail and then it was off to The Doghouse Coffee for a pup cup which she ate very daintily. She rides very well in the car and is great on leash too. They encountered a few critters along the trail and she showed no prey drive. If you're looking for a pal to join you for some relaxing outings, Sweet Tea is your girl!

Like most hounds, Sweet Tea loves to follow her nose and explore the world around her. She's very tolerant and enjoys relaxing ears scratches. She already knows how to sit and takes her treats very gently. Sweat Tea does the most adorable tippy taps when she gets excited and has an easy-going demeanor that is so enjoyable to be around. She will benefit from daily exercise, continued training, and a yard to enjoy in her new home.

Based on our evaluation, we feel Sweet Tea would do best in a home with adults or families with kids ages five and up. She may have the potential to live with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.

If you think she could be the girl for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com and submit your application for our sensational Sweet Tea!
