Sweet Sofia... Sad & Still homeless Sofia's Story
Sofía – 4 Years of Waiting. Please Don’t Let Her Go Back.

Sofía once had a home. A person. A life full of love. But everything changed when her human passed away, and Sofía was left behind.

She’s now around 7 years old, and she’s spent the last 4 years just… waiting.

3 years in a shelter in Puerto Rico.

1 year in a doggy daycare in New Hampshire, where she has a couch and people who care for her.

But it’s not a home. And if we don’t find her one soon, Sofía will have to return to the shelter she once called home.

She is sweet, gentle, and loyal. She doesn’t bark for attention or cause any trouble. She just wants a quiet home, a soft bed, and a kind human to love again.

Sofía is shy around men at first—we believe it’s because a man had to pull her away from her mom the day her world fell apart. But with patience, treats, and love, she learns to trust. She’s done it before. She quickly learned to love the boys at the shelter that cared for her.

She walks beautifully on leash, loves to curl up on beds and couches, and is a quiet, well-mannered houseguest. She just… needs someone to give her a chance.

? If you’ve ever thought about adopting—this is the moment. Don’t let Sofía go back. Let her finally go home. ?

Sofia has an army of caretakers that love her and are willing to transport her to her new home... wherever that may be. So please don't cross her off you list if you are not near her actual location.

*** Organization informs: As with any dog, we always recommend careful supervision and slow responsible introductions and interactions when children are involved. The same rule applies to other dogs and cats. In Sofias case she was in a home before, children and other dogs were present, and she interacted daily with shelter dogs and cats with no issues.
