Swartz's Story

This gentle face is Swartz. At just a year old, he was part of the Genesee hoarding case that many of you may have heard about—over 60 dogs living in filth. It’s a start to life that no dog deserves, but Swartz is slowly learning that the world has so much more to offer him.

Swartz is undeniably beautiful, with his dark, shiny brindle coat, floppy ears, and soft, soulful eyes. He loves curling up on the couch with the other dogs in his foster home and isn’t bothered by cats—or even birds! Swartz has a big heart; it just takes him a little time to open it up.

He enjoys playing with toys outside and is perfect in his crate—you won’t hear a peep from him. Swartz is learning the routine of going potty outside and is doing wonderfully in public places as he builds confidence. When it’s time for an outing, he hops right into the car like a pro.

Swartz is a brave, gentle, and incredibly sweet boy who truly deserves an amazing home.

Because of the situation he came from, Swartz is looking for a foster-to-adopt home. He cannot complete his vetting until the court case is finalized, but that shouldn’t stop him from finding a family ready to love and cherish him in the meantime.

Adoption App:

https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/40532/generic
