Suzie's Story

Suzie is about a year old and still discovering the world with that curious, youthful sparkle. She’s playful, incredibly trainable and eager to please. She has a wonderful attitude and a soft, sweet nature that makes her an absolute joy to be around. She was thin at first, but with good care and a vet visit, she’s now healthy, spayed, and up to date on her shots!

She is fully house trained and politely waits to go outside to potty. Suzie also gets an A+ for car rides. She hops into the back of the SUV and settles right down for the trip like a seasoned traveler.

Suzie does great with other dogs and instantly became best buddies with a Golden Retriever in her foster home. She has never shown any aggression toward people and has never growled. She’s friendly, gentle, and just wants to be part of the family.

Cats are currently a mystery. She’s curious and paws at them through the glass door, but she hasn’t had direct interaction yet. With slow introductions and guidance, she may do just fine.

If you’re looking for a young, sweet, and adaptable dog with a wonderful temperament, Suzie may just be your girl.

Suzie is being fostered in Westville, Oklahoma.

Wilber's Rescue Foundation's Adoption Policy
We have an application that must be filled out. We will contact you within 24 hours to review your application verbally and answer any questions you may have about a potential pet. After that we schedule a meet and greet with potential families. If the vibes are good we proceed with a foster to adopt trial- ALL adoptable animals must go through a 2 weeks trial. This gives the adopting family 2 weeks to decide if it's the right fit and provides a 2 week respite for the foster family while also holding the pet's foster spot open incase it is not the right fit! If it is the right fit then at the end of the 2 weeks we will sign adoption contracts and have adoption fees paid.
