Suzi, Female Beagle, 8 years old, 40 lbs.<br/><br/>Suzi was abandoned by her previous owner who moved away leaving her tied to her dog house in the back yard.<br/><br/>Miss Suzi is a sweet older girl looking for, and deserving, a loving home.<br/><br/>She arrived from her previous “situation” completely untrained and significantly over-weight.<br/><br/>Suzi had difficulty keeping up when going for walks; she was constantly panting and out of breath.<br/><br/>A change to a good, nutrient-dense food with structured feedings and exercise has slimmed her down considerably. She does however still need to lose weight.<br/><br/>Now Suzi loves to go for walks but she needs to be on a lead and will require a fenced yard as she has a tendency to chase squirrels, rabbits, just about anything she catches the scent of. She is a true Beagle in this respect!<br/><br/>Suzi is making great strides with her training but, due to suspected past abuse and neglect, she will require someone very loving and patient who is willing to continue working with her.<br/><br/>A home without small children is essential and, while Suzi gets along fine with her foster’s other dogs, we think she would also do very well as an only dog We are asking an adoption fee of $250 for Suzi.
