Sunny In Foster's Story

☀️ Meet Sunny, our middle-aged sweetheart ☀️
This girl is exactly what her name promises: pure sunshine.

Sunny is an easygoing, independent sweetheart who would slip right into a home where her humans work during the day. She's content to nap, relax, and do her own thing, but every now and then she'll wander over, gently place her head on your leg, and remind you she loves you. Her favorite thing in the world? Chest scratches. Instant tail wags and blissful expressions!

Sunny came to us with a rough past: a graying muzzle, a skinny frame (just 47 lbs), and a skin issue that clearly needs some TLC. But she's still so grateful for any kindness. The moment she steps into a play yard, she immediately empties her bladder. This poor girl has been holding it far too long. She is very likely housetrained and so relieved to be out of her run.

Sunny is also heartworm positive, which means she desperately needs a foster home to begin treatment which MOAS will fully cover and provide at no cost. Without a foster, she doesn't have long here. She deserves comfort, safety, and a soft pillow, not a lonely kennel.

If you've ever wanted to change a dog's entire world, this is your moment.
Sunny needs someone to step up for her.

Ready to give this gentle soul the golden years she deserves? 💛 Come by the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, Wednesday-Saturday, 12-5pm or Sunday, 12-4pm and ask staff to help you meet her. Or apply for her online and let us know you're interested in setting up a meet and greet with our sweet sunshine --> https://www.moaspets.com/adoptionappPlease call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.

Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.

Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.
All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet.
Fees:
Dogs over 6 months old: $100
Puppies under 6 months: $200.
Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip).

For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Join us on Facebook at
https://www.facebook.com/moaspets. It's a great way to stay up to the minute on the furry 4 legged friends we have looking for a loving forever home.
We are located at:
1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd
Danielsville, GA 30633
706-795-2868

NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption.
If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.
