Suneshine's Story

Name: Sunshine

Age: 3 years

Weight: 50–60 lbs (could use a few extra pounds and fill out a bit)

Sex: Female

Description:

Sunshine is pure happiness wrapped up in a black and white package. The first thing you notice about her is how incredibly happy she is. Then you notice the scars — but they are not who she is, they are just something that happened along the way. We have never been more sure that a name fits a personality. Sunshine truly lives up to hers

She is beyond friendly and incredibly sweet, loving people with her whole heart. Sunshine gets along well with other dogs, though her feelings about cats are currently unknown. Despite whatever she has been through, when our dog control officer found her, she was a happy girl — genuinely and beautifully happy.

Sunshine’s cuts are healing into scars, and she is steadily gaining strength and confidence. She appears to be housebroken and walks fairly well on a leash, though she can pull a bit at times. With a little consistency and a basic obedience class, she will polish up nicely.

One of Sunshine’s favorite things in the world is being close to her people. She loves to curl up and snuggle, and it is nearly impossible to get a photo of her without a human in it because she always wants to be right by your side. If you are looking for a dog who truly loves to be loved, Sunshine is your girl.
