Shelter Assessment:<br/><br/><br/>Sundew aged at 10 months, Leashed well but did not want to walk out of her kennel, Staff picked her up and carried her out and walked on leash but was very nervous while doing so, once into Eval she immediately jumped into my lap shaking out of nervousness, a few minutes went by and she opened up, running around and jumping on people like a puppy would. She licks treats out of your hand and is very gentle with them but does not know any tricks. She showed some interest in toys but did not want to play with them, she is very interested in affection and attention over wanting to play with toys. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. All our dogs receive a behavior assessment before being placed for adoption to determine initial behaviors towards people and other dogs in the shelter environment.
