Summer's Story
Update: October 5, 2020
I was contacted by Summer's owner that he has decided to keep her. He has worked out a plan so that Summer will not be left alone while he is at work. We are hoping that all goes well for Summer. Summer is no longer adoptable.

My name is Summer and I am a four month old AKC registered female German shepherd puppy. My dad called NOGSR to see if they could help find me a loving home. He is heartbroken having to re-home me, but he is being selfless by putting my needs above his. My dad is going to be working very long shifts at work and he knows that it would be best if I weren't left alone for the long hours he has to work.

Ms. Toby met me today at the muddy dog park and you might notice mud on my nose and tongue.I had a ball playing with the other dogs and especially liked sticking my head in a muddy puddle.

I have a beautiful and friendly disposition. I am great around people and other dogs. Not sure how I might do with cats. Being a puppy, I am a bit mouthy, so best if I went into a home with children that they were older. My adopter must understand i am a puppy and all that goes along with that.

My dad has done everything right. I am fully vaccinated, on heartworm and flea preventative. He has taught me commands and I am housebroken. He takes me regularly to the dog parks so I have been well socialized.

It breaks his heart to let me go and Ms. Toby promised him that he would be involved in the adoption process. I hope my new family will stay in touch with him and maybe let him visit.

To adopt, please contact Toby at toby_levering@msn.com for an adoption application. NOGSR does require a home visit and they never adopt dogs into homes where they will live outside. A fenced secure yard is required. The adoption fee is $300.00 and the fee will go to Summer's owner as he paid much more for this beautiful dog..
