Sully's Story
Sully is an altered male Newfoundland born in September of 2023. He came into rescue housebroken and has had some rudimentary training. Sully is eager to please and excited to make new friends. He has loved having big dogs to play with.

Sully needs a home that is going to be committed to teaching him how to be a big boy. His youth comes with a vast amount of energy and curiosity which must be channeled. He loves to play and run with the big dogs, but needs feedback on appropriate boundaries. He is eager to please and he needs firm direction and correction.

Sully loves to chew. He will take the opportunity to chew anything that presents itself, so a prospective home will need to be aware of all the little things laying around that may find their way into his mouth. He loves vegetables and it seems his favorites are carrots.
Cats in his foster home have experienced Newfie kisses and interest from Sully, but no real chasing. He is curious and friendly.

Sully will do best in an adults-only home or one without children under the age of twelve. Everyone in the house will need to participate in his training and in making sure his environment is safe and free of unintended chew toys.

Sully is healthy and up to date on his vaccinations. He was recently altered, so hormones will be working their way out of his system for a few more months. A fenced in backyard is required, and newfie or giant dog experience preferred. His adoption fee is $450.

We cover Western MO., Kansas, Western IA., Nebraska, Northeastern OK and Northeastern AR. We only adopt out in our covered areas.

If you are interested or know someone who is, please contact us at hanrrescue@gmail.com.

To see more Newfoundland rescues or to learn more about our rescue program see our clubs website. www.hanc.net
To learn more about the Newfoundland breed, see the Newfoundland Club of America's website. www.ncanewfs.org
