We are not a shelter, but a foster home-based rescue, and these animals are all housed individually with foster families.<br/><br/>Please review our application carefully and ensure everyone in the family is ready for the lifelong responsibility and commitment of a canine companion.<br/><br/>PLEASE NOTE: Sully will only be adopted out within 30 miles of the Rochester, NY area.<br/><br/>Sullivan “Sully” is a 7-month-old mixed-breed pup from Kentucky who came north with his brother and sister after being found in an abandoned house with their dad. They are all in search of loving forever homes. Sully can be shy when first meeting new people and takes a little time to warm up, but once he feels comfortable, he’s happy to be held and will gladly soak up some snuggles.<br/><br/>He has a wonderful balance of independence and playfulness — Sully is perfectly content entertaining himself with a bone or toy, but he also loves playing with his siblings and his foster dog friends of all sizes. <br/><br/>Sully is housebroken and does wonderfully in his crate at night when his humans are nearby. He may take a few minutes to settle in, but once he’s comfortable, he sleeps soundly and wakes up ready for a new day with his family.<br/><br/>Sully loves being close to his people and forms strong, loyal bonds. Because of that, he isn’t a fan of being crated and left alone and would do best in a home where someone is around more often or where he can continue working on building independence at his own pace.<br/><br/>He can be a bit wary of strangers and will bark when someone new approaches — just a little “stranger danger.” His foster mom and dad are actively helping him build confidence and feel more secure, and he’s making wonderful progress. Sully is thriving in his foster home and continues to show what a sweet, loving boy he truly is.<br/><br/>With a little patience and consistency, Sully truly blossoms. He’s a sweet, devoted boy who just wants to be part of the action and share his love. In the right home, he will be an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion.
