SUKI's Story
Arrived 9-9-26

This darling gal is SUKI, an approximately 8 year old female Husky mix that was surrendered to us so that she could get the medical care she needed. Upon testing, it was discovered that Suki was suffering from a serious fungal infection called Blastomycosis – https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/blastomycosis-in-dogs . The infection had spread to every part of her body, her skin, her joints, her lungs and her eye, which the vet ended up removing due to it being so severe. She is one tough dog and is responding very well to her treatment so now it’s time to find her a home that can continue her treatment as well as provide any further medical attention she may need throughout her life. Suki is an amazing dog, she’s sweeter than sweet, silly, smart and playful (now that she finally has the energy to be)! She definitely has the husky personality and would truly make someone a wonderful companion. She does okay with most of the dogs here but meet and greets are always required. She seems to prefer calmer, respectful dogs. Cats are unknown but we were told she does well with kids.

If you would like further information on Suki or her treatment process, please reach out to us with any questions.
