Sugarplum's Story
Meet Sugarplum!

This sweet girl came to the County shelter as a stray. We don’t know what her mix is, but the shelter had her as a laboratory retriever mix, and about four years old. She was very nervous at the shelter at first, but became very affectionate very quickly with the staff. She is very sweet and affectionate with people.

She appears to get along very well with other dogs, IF they are in the home before she is introduced to the home, and if they are calm. She doesn't especially much like hyper dog energy.

Sugarplum is protective once she is comfortable with her humans and her home, and we are working with her to build her confidence and curb her ‘stranger danger’. Mostly she just barks until she knows the person entering the home is safe.

Sugarplum loves, loves, loves to play with her toys! She's pretty athletic and can make a flying leap up onto a bed and back off again. She definitely gets adorable zoomies both inside and outside.

**Please note: Indigo Rescue only adopts to homes within 30 miles of Beaverton, Oregon. The first part of our process is to have you complete our adoption application. This helps us make compatible matches. You can find the application on our indigorescue.org website under the Adoption tab. We’ll get back to you from there. Thank you!
