Sugar 's Story

Hi, let me introduce myself! My name is Sugar, I met the founder of this rescue when a police chief in the town I was in called her because my owner was unfortunately killed in a car accident. I've been here at the rescue now for four years, l am the most loving, compassionate, friendly, sweetest girl you'll ever meet. I know I weigh about 54 Ibs, but I like being treated like I'm 10 lbs! I love being in your lap, I love sleeping next to you, and being next to you when you're sitting in your recliner watching TV. I love being close to you anytime I can be! I love car rides there's nothing more fun to me than going places. I have become better on a leash, I did pull a little so sadly the person that adopted me was unable to keep me as she was an older person with back injuries, though she loved me dearly. I loved the cat that I lived with a lot! I am cat friendly, I'm also dog friendly to most. Since I’m 10 years old the excitable dogs kind of get on my nerves, but I love love puppies it's all I've known my whole life is puppies! I think they said when I came here I was about six to seven years old and I probably had a litter every year of my life so puppies I know well & loved them. I really love to sunbathe, it’s one of my favorite past times! I worry about being adopted since I hear that there's this black dog syndrome in Georgia or the South, I hope that's not held against me. I loveeee having my belly rubbed and I just love being with people in general! I'm a sweet girl, I’m crate trained, I am house trained, and I am leash trained. Many times the founder here takes me on long walks which I absolutely love, the adventure is nice. I lived in a small backyard growing up having puppies but I get a lot of adventure now which I thoroughly enjoy! I hope you will contact the rescue for a meet and greet. You will find I'm a very loving, sweet, mindful dog that listens well and as most I am food driven so I learn quickly. Thank you for giving me a chance and not holding my breed or my color against me. Please complete an application today to set up a meet and greet so you can meet me and see for yourself. <br/>Love, Sugar
