When I first met sugar she had matted hair and couldn’t see. I couldn’t pet her or leash her. <br/><br/>I didn’t know how much I would love her!<br/><br/>Shivers is a 8 year old , tiny terrier type dog . She is probably 15 lbs. <br/><br/>She is so spicy and sassy … it is ironic her name is Sugar. She is very very sweet with her person and her family but she does not like to be pet by new people. <br/><br/>She must have had a hard life because she doesn’t like fast movements or petting when she doesn’t expect it.<br/><br/>With me, her foster mom, she is affectionate and easy going.<br/><br/>She is a hot ticket. Seriously funny and witty. <br/><br/>She is amazing off leash. Her recall is amazing. She responds to her name, sugar. And Nick name sugar bear!<br/><br/>Above all Sugar is FANTASTIC with dogs. She is so social and intelligent with dogs. She has recently showed us she loves to play. She pounces. She will take space or use her voice when it’s too much for her. She likes playful dogs but doesn’t enjoy rough / bitey / dogs who don’t respect her boundaries <br/><br/>Sugar would do best with an older quieter home. She can not be pet initially and will need someone who has dealt with dogs who have intolerance to handling and need to build trust. <br/><br/>Sugar has been with a foster for4 weeks and can be pet and picked up by the foster. She jumps up for kisses and pets !<br/><br/><br/>Sugar is a pre senior but has no health issues.
