Sugar's Story

Sugar and Spice and everything nice. Sweet Sugar had a rough start to life. She was found wandering a construction site where she was constantly being attacked by other dogs. A sweet man working at the site got her to the rescue just in time. Sugar was extremely pregnant on arrival to Cocos. She had a very rough delivery, but thanks to a wonderful foster, she was able to make it through with 5 beautiful puppies. While all of her puppies have found wonderful forever homes, it is now Sugar's time. Sugar has been at our schoolhouse since her mom duties have finished. She needed time to decompress from everything she went through and is now beginning to thrive. Sugar is beginning to learn how to play with friends and while we are taking it slow, she is doing amazing. Sometimes her play can get a little rough, she is new and learning the rules. All she needs is gentle reminders to not be so rough, she is learning the joys of having four-legged friends.

This is not because we don't share your enthusiasm, it's because our volunteers wear many hats and are their first priority is caring for our animals to ensure they receive the best care :) Please be patient and understand that if an animal is posted on here, they are most likely still available! FOR CAT APPLICATIONS: http://www.cocoscupboardinc.org/Cat-Adoption-Application.php All our dogs and cats are vet checked, current on vaccines, and spayed or neutered. We also have fosters enrolled in obedience classes at Animal Medical Clinic in Peachtree City and the Peachtree City Farmers Market thanks to TAO K9 Unleashed. Please contact us to set up a meeting with our foster dogs or cats. Our cats can be viewed at Petco in Peachtree City on Saturdays from 12-4. Our dogs can be viewed at Petsmart in Peachtree City on Saturdays from 12-4 or by appointment.
