Sugar's Story

Sugar and Spice and everything nice. Sweet Sugar had a rough start to life. She was found wandering a construction site where she was constantly being attacked by other dogs. A sweet man working at the site got her to the rescue just in time. Sugar was extremely pregnant on arrival to Cocos. She had a very rough delivery, but thanks to a wonderful foster, she was able to make it through with 5 beautiful puppies. While all of her puppies have found wonderful forever homes, it is now Sugar's time. Sugar has been at our schoolhouse since her mom duties have finished. She needed time to decompress from everything she went through and is now beginning to thrive. Sugar is beginning to learn how to play with friends and while we are taking it slow, she is doing amazing. Sometimes her play can get a little rough, she is new and learning the rules. All she needs is gentle reminders to not be so rough, she is learning the joys of having four-legged friends.

This is not because we don't share your enthusiasm, it's because our volunteers wear many hats and are their first priority is caring for our animals to ensure they receive the best care :) Please be patient and understand that if an animal is posted on here, they are most likely still available!/n FOR DOG APPLICATIONS: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/COCO/Dog Our adoption fees for dogs are $250. FOR CAT APPLICATIONS: All of our adorable Coco's kitties are spayed or neutered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV combo tested, up-to-date on shots and have received dewormer and flea treatment. All they need now is a FOREVER home. Adoption & Application Procedures: To welcome a new kitty to your furry family, we summarized our Coco’s application procedure below: Complete our online application at http://www.cocoscupboardinc.org/Cat-Adoption-Application.php. Our kitty team will review your application and will reach out to you shortly. Please be patient as we are 100% volunteer based. To ensure a smooth application process, please answer all questions in full with as much detail as possible to avoid delays in your application review. Please note that we adopt our Coco's kitties to families that reside within a 60 mile radius of Peachtree City, GA. Very young kittens must be adopted in pairs or have a young furry playmate waiting for them at home. We require a vet check for your current/recent pets to ensure our kitties are going to the best homes possible. We may also require a home check. Once your application is APPROVED, we will schedule meet and greet. Our weekly adoption event is held on Saturdays at Petco in Peachtree City from 11-3pm. Please note, we do not send kitties home on adoption days without a previously approved application. Please fill out and submit your application prior to Saturday to enable us time to review it properly. Not all of our kitties will be present every Saturday at Petco, however we strive to keep our Facebook and Petfinder pages up to date with our cats that are AVAILABLE for adoption.
