Sugar's Story

Sugar was a stray who arrived with her sister Sprinkles. Both dogs were pregnant. After lovingly raising their babies, and with their puppies grown up and adopted, it is now their time to experience tender loving care. What if you are meant to be the one to turn Sugar’s life around? What if you are the one she’s been waiting for? The good life awaits Sugar. She hopes it arrives soon. Would you enter into it with her? Perhaps the good life is you. Sugar just needs some socialization and a safe, gentle place to land.

It is also the poorest region of Colorado (1/3 of the residents in the county our shelter is in live below the poverty level. Our extensive spay/neuter program has reduced the number of homeless animals in this valley. And we have provided many many families with fine companion animals.
