While the world still feels a little big and scary to him, he finds comfort in gentle pets and will quietly scoot in close for snuggles when he feels safe.<br/><br/>Because Stripe and his littermates missed out on early socialization, he’s still learning that new things aren’t so frightening. Leashes, walks, and new environments will take patience and encouragement — but he’s a gentle, loving pup who truly wants to trust.<br/><br/>Stripe would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly dog to help show him the way and build his courage. With kindness and time, this 54-pound sweetheart will grow into the most loyal, devoted companion. Watching him come out of his shell will be pure magic.<br/><br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A DOG<br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
