Stripe's Story

Our volunteers ran Stripe in a team back on 1/18/2009, and soon after he went into a shelter foster home. This is their report at the time: "The owner turning him in said he was a fast sled dog that is a hard worker. This poor boy is totally unsocial and afraid of a lot of things. We had high hopes that he would go. He is easy to handle but I think is so traumatized by being at the shelter and around different people he has just shut down. He may have run well for his owner, so might have great potential with the right owner, but we took him out of the team at the beginning for he just didn't want to go. He is 4 years old and already neutered."

1/10/2013 UPDATE, when we pulled him into SCL: Stripe is now a mid aged/older dog that has some health problems that don't allow him to run. He is on a lung medication for life but that doesn't quell his zest for life. He is a sweet boy with a great personality that could make a good pet.

In order to adopt an SCL dog, see ""How To Adopt"" and download an Adoption Application%3B we can't consider you without one!
