STRIKER's Story

Striker is simply a goofy Young, pound dog, although he’s had his fair share of neglect, both socially, and physically, throughout his young life. He came to us by way of the Humane Society, as an unclaimed stray, who was noted to be heartworm positive as well as infected with tickborne diseases during his intake exam, not to mention full of intestinal, parasites and covered in oozing sores from fly strike. Based on his very quiet, Shy, and backwards behavior, we can only assume he was left outside And likely tethered through all weather conditions without shelter. Although not exactly a good Adoption candidate, his sad eyes pleaded for a chance. And so a chance he got. Although it took a few days for him to understand that people were good, that the doors into a house were for him too, and the endless food and water. We’re going to be regular parts of his every day, Striker has truly thrived in his foster home. He is still shy of new people, new places, and new things initially, but in his foster home, he is a total goofball, loves to play with his other canine companions, crate, trained, and very comfortable with his creating routine, and always looking for a tasty treat. Striker is obviously a beagle mix, but the mixed part is unknown. We estimate him to be 2 to 3 years old and weighing approximately 35 pounds. It’s obvious from his personality, that he has a lot of love to give and humor to share, he just needs to find the right family to create memories with. If you are interested in giving this little guy a chance and helping him make memories, please fill out an application and we will get back with you. $350

If you would like to meet STRYKER please complete an application for adoption, copy and paste this link into your browser

https://fs17.formsite.com/adoptionscc/form1/index

Any vaccinations/boosters due after adoption is finalized will be the new owner's responsibility. All animals are current at time of adoption but in some cases a booster series is required or a vaccine cannot be given due to age and cannot be completed prior to adoption

Our adoptable animals come to us from various sources, the most common being from an animal shelter who is unable to handle their physical or mental needs in the shelter setting but believe with the appropriate care, they can become adoptable.
